DOUBLE DOT CARMINE

SKU: AQR.CARMINE
Double Dot Carmine is a hand-knotted rug made in Nepal of Tibetan wool, linen, and hand-spun silk, designed with a richly dimensional surface that brings warmth, texture, and quiet pattern to a room. Its deep carmine field shifts through rust, clay, copper, and dark auburn tones, creating a saturated yet earthy foundation.

The raised double-dot motif forms a subtle grid across the rug, giving the design structure while keeping the overall effect soft and tactile. Up close, the varied pile height and material blend create a sculptural quality, with the wool offering warmth and durability, linen adding organic texture, and hand-spun silk bringing a muted luminosity.

Double Dot Carmine is especially well suited for interiors layered with walnut, dark oak, leather, bronze, plaster, stone, mohair, and warm neutral upholstery. It can add depth to a minimalist room, richness to a study, or an intimate, collected feeling to a living room or bedroom. Its color is bold but grounded, making it a sophisticated choice where texture carries as much presence as pattern.

Double Dot Carmine is available in our standard room sizes; custom sizes, runners, squares and rounds available. Our rugs are normally available for delivery within 10 to 90 days. Contact us or Request a Quote for timing on the rug and size of your choice.

THINGS TO KNOW

Design Elements Sometimes Change

Our rugs are designed and photographed in the 8x10 size. If you are considering any other size, the design and/or scale will vary from this standard. Please reach out to our rug experts if you would like more information on a particular design in a specific size.

Actual Size May Vary a Little

Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs. Note for any rugs made in Nepal: 6x9 rugs measure 5’6” x 8’6” and 9x12 rugs measure 8’9” x 11’6”. Please reach out to our rug experts if you would like more information.

Cleaning and Care

Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
