DORIS AQUAMARINE OCHRE

SKU: AQX.AQUAOCH
Doris Aquamarine Ochre is a hand-knotted rug made in Nepal of Tibetan wool and hand-spun silk, designed with a refined architectural pattern that brings structure, movement, and subtle sheen to a room. Its aquamarine ground is softened by tonal variation, while raised lines in warm ochre, sand, and muted taupe create stepped corners, vertical channels, dotted accents, and chevron details.

The composition feels graphic without being stark, with a quiet Art Deco influence and a modernist sense of proportion. Its cool blue-green field makes it especially beautiful with warm woods, aged brass, leather, linen, plaster, stone, and richly textured upholstery. The ochre accents add just enough warmth to keep the palette grounded and inviting.

Crafted from Tibetan wool and hand-spun silk, Doris Aquamarine Ochre offers both durability and a luminous surface quality. It is a strong choice for living rooms, bedrooms, studies, and dining spaces where a rug should feel tailored, artful, and quietly expressive.

Doris Aquamarine Ochre is available in our standard room sizes; custom sizes, runners, squares and rounds available. Our rugs are normally available for delivery within 10 to 90 days. Contact us or Request a Quote for timing on the rug and size of your choice.

THINGS TO KNOW

Design Elements Sometimes Change

Our rugs are designed and photographed in the 8x10 size. If you are considering any other size, the design and/or scale will vary from this standard. Please reach out to our rug experts if you would like more information on a particular design in a specific size.

Actual Size May Vary a Little

Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs. Note for any rugs made in Nepal: 6x9 rugs measure 5’6” x 8’6” and 9x12 rugs measure 8’9” x 11’6”. Please reach out to our rug experts if you would like more information.

Cleaning and Care

Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
