This late 19th century Cloud Band Kazak, woven in the Chonderesk region of the Caucasus, carries the unmistakable authority of early village craftsmanship. The field is animated by the iconic cloud band motif, a rhythmic procession of stepped, interlocking forms that feels both architectural and expressive, grounded in tradition yet strikingly modern.
Bold mineral reds, indigo blues, and softened ivory tones reveal the natural dyes of the period, gently abridged by time into a palette of rare harmony. The wool is lustrous and resilient, hand spun and densely knotted, giving the rug a sculptural surface that reads beautifully under changing light.

Cleaning and Care
Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
