Most of the Heriz rugs on our site are semi antique Persian Heriz rugs from Iran or new Indo Heriz rugs from India. This is one of two new single 8x10 Heriz rugs created in Armenia with a gorgeous balance of red, tans, brown, cream, blues and green accents. The history of Armenian weavers working to produce rugs in Persia over the centuries is well documented. These designs may be recognized as Persian in the marketplace, yet they are a common heritage like hummus is to the middle east. Everyone loves Heriz and each weaving group has their favorite! The artistry and quality of this rug provide good reasons to buy it, and its Armenian production makes it more distinctive. This would be an excellent rug for a home with traditional decor, perfect for a home office or library.

Our rugs are designed and photographed in the 8x10 size. If you are considering any other size, the design and/or scale will vary from this standard. Please reach out to our rug experts if you would like more information on a particular design in a specific size.
Actual Size May Vary a Little
Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs.
Cleaning and Care
Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
